We were super stoked to be asked to support The Lost Angels in Sydney last year! Naturally, we jumped at the chance to be able to play alongside rock legends like John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE, THE SCREAM, UNION, RATT), guitarist Eric Dover (SLASH’S SNAKEPIT, SEXTUS, ALICE COOPER, JELLYFISH), drummer Troy Patrick Farrell (WHITE LION, GILBY CLARKE, PRETTY BOY FLOYD), bassist Eric Brittingham of CINDERELLA. The boys booked flights from the Gold Coast and I redirected my flight home from India so that now I landed in Sydney. I basically got off the plane, met up with the rest of the De La guys and we headed out to see the sights like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We rolled up to the Metro Theatre Sydney that night and watched the Lost Angels soundcheck. They sounded badass even just jamming and mucking around! We were first up and played a hard and fast set (albeit a little rusty thanks to me being overseas for 2 weeks prior). Good to see some familiar faces in the audience like the rad dudes from Kill Appeal and Rattlesnake. Devine Electric and White Widdow got the crowd pumpin’ for the main act. They both played super tight, awesome, professional sets. The Lost Angels hit the stage and the venue was filled out perfectly! They sounded amazing and played a bunch of their best hits from their respective bands. They brought the house down near the end with a ball tearing version of Hooligan’s Holiday. We partied on at Club Fxck till the wee hours of the morning. It was all quiet on the western front the next day at the airport to fly home. Killer night, killer gig. We can’t wait to get back to Sydney. -Rj
